Select a face-up card, then a destination column. Dragging also works.

Meet Scorpion

Keep these points in mind. Moves build down in the same suit rather than allowing cross-suit destinations. The tableau has seven columns. Four complete King-to-Ace runs clear the game. Scorpion on honghuidz.com uses one 52-card deck with four suits.

Read the opening cards

A few details help explain this feature. Three cards remain in the stock. Each opening column contains seven cards for a total of 49 tableau cards. All cards in the last three columns are face up. The first three cards in each of the first four columns are face down.

Check rank and suit together

Keep these points in mind. A moved group's leading card must land on a card exactly one rank higher in the same suit. A King cannot land on another card because no higher rank exists. A seven of hearts can land on an exposed eight of hearts. A seven of hearts cannot land on an eight of spades.

Move exposed groups

Keep these points in mind. The selected cards do not need to descend in rank to travel together. The selected cards do not need to share a suit to travel together. Any face-up card can be selected together with every card beneath it. The leading selected card still has to meet the destination rule.

The empty-column rule

The following details apply here. A group led by a lower rank cannot enter an empty column. Cards beneath a moved King do not need to be in sequence. An empty column accepts a King or a group led by a King. An empty column is therefore less flexible than an empty column in ordinary Spider.

Uncover another choice

The following details apply here. Removing all face-up cards above a hidden card turns that hidden card face up. The next hidden card is revealed automatically. Undo restores the earlier hidden-card arrangement when the move is reversed. An exposed card can carry the cards beneath it when its own destination is legal.

The final three cards

Here are the details for this mode. This Scorpion version permits its stock deal when columns are empty. There are no further stock cards after the three-card deal. The stock contains one final deal of three cards. Dealing places a face-up card on each of the first three columns.

Collect ordered runs

A few details help explain this feature. A completed run must descend from King to Ace in one suit. All thirteen cards in a collected run must be face up. Moving an unordered group does not make that group a completed sequence. The game removes a qualifying run automatically from the bottom of a column.

Plan around blocked cards

A few details help explain this feature. A move can carry unwanted cards along with a useful leading card. Hint lists legal choices without promising a winning continuation. Replay and Undo let you explore another approach to the same layout. Checking the whole moved group helps you anticipate what will become blocked.
